The Team

Our consultants have been continually supported by the same administration, payroll and accounts staff since our inception in 1992, who in turn have developed their own relationships with our clients and temporary staff to ensure that we provide a faultless all round service.

Managing a large Temporary team means that consistency in accounts and payroll has ensured that we have implemented all the recent legal changes quickly and efficiently whilst providing up to date information to all the relevant parties.

The administration support ensures that our consultants can focus 100% of their time on filing their clients’ jobs.

Kevin DawsonDirectorinKevin started his career in accounts and was studying for his CIMA professional qualifications before realising that his true strengths lay elsewhere and he was better suited to recruitment.
He trained in a large specialist accountancy recruitment firm and after a few roles in other agencies decided one day that could do a better job for his clients if he had more control over the complete process.
This insight in 1992 sparked the beginning of Adept Recruitment and what has become a long career in the legal finance & commercial accountancy sectors.
Kevin is still as passionate about recruitment now as he was when he founded Adept and says that they have been fortunate to work with such fantastic clients and candidates over the years. Many of those relationships have now become friendships and he takes great satisfaction watching people progress through their careers.
Outside of work, Kevin likes to keep equally busy. He is often to be found waiting for the gym to open in the morning before heading to the office and has a passion for renovating old houses.
Judy BouroufSenior ConsultantinJudy has been a member of the team at Adept for more years than she cares to remember - she recently celebrated her 15th anniversary with a trip to The Ivy! She is known for giving honest advice to clients and straightforward feedback to candidates. Judy says that she has always loved recruitment and that the best part of her job is when she gets to call candidates to give them good news.

Judy loves to find the perfect fit for a clients brief and leaves no stone unturned in her search for the right candidate. Her friendly, sociable and chatty disposition helps put even the most nervous candidates at ease and her practical advice helps them to make the most of their experience during their interviews.

Judy rescued a dog, Millie, a couple of years ago and often has a funny story to tell about Millies’ recent antics!
Shauna WarburtonSenior ConsultantinShauna started her working life as an Estate Agent in Northern Ireland and says that the lessons she learnt there about transparency, honesty and diplomacy have stood her in good stead for a career in recruitment.

She started recruiting in 2001 and for the last five years has worked solely in the legal sector specialising in Legal Costs recruitment. Clients have often described Shauna as being “a pleasure to work with”.  She works hard to always find the right person and candidates know they can rely on her for honest and frank feedback.

Whilst she doesn’t have much time for hobbies as she has a young family to look after, on the rare occasion she does have some time to herself, she can often be found nursing a glass of wine!
Steven DwyerSenior ConsultantinSteven started his career working in healthcare PR and medical education. It was during an interview for a new role when he was asked whether he had ever considered a career in a recruitment that he seriously began to think about it. He finally made that leap and has not looked back since.

Steven takes the time to get to know his clients and their needs and cultures. He is often on hand to give career advice to candidates and is a good sounding board if you want to talk about your career development.

As the tech and social media savvy member of the team he has been tasked with arming his colleagues with the skills they need to communicate with Generation Y candidates.

Outside the office, he can often be found in the park walking his dog Bailey.
Lynda SimpsonTemporary/Contract ConsultantinLynda is the newest member of the team at Adept. She recently relocated to London from Ireland with her family and has been enjoying getting to know her adoptive city. With a background in accountancy, sales and customer service, she knows a thing or two about going the extra mile for a client! She used agencies to recruit temporary/contract and permanent staff on a regular basis and this experience has given her a good insight in the good and bad aspects of agency recruiting and therefore strives to ensure our clients always get the very best service.

Lynda’s extra miles have also included a charitable element as in recent years she has participated in “The Race for Life 5K”, “Marie Curie 10K challenge” and in addition, a Raft race to raise money for the RNLI.
