The Company

Our client is an award winning specialist neurological and dementia care provider based in St Neots in Cambridgeshire that delivers specialist nursing and therapy services for adults with complex and long term neurological conditions.

With an in-house clinical MDT, (including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Psychology) they offer outcome focused rehab care for those living with a life changing incident such as ABI, Spinal Cord Injury or Stroke and long term neurological conditions such as motor neurone disease. There is also a specialist atypical dementia service which cares for those living with Early Onset Dementia or conditions such as Korsakoff Syndrome.

Duties

Reporting to the Service Manager you will be supervising a team of support workers, and will oversee the smooth running of the shift. All nurses deliver every aspect of the residents' care, ranging from personal care to managing and administering medication and you must therefore have a hands-on approach.

As a Senior Nurse you will be expected to make sound clinical judgements whilst role modelling best practise and inspiring junior staff to achieve their potential. You will work with the therapy team to create and implement personal care plans, you will facilitate admissions and discharges, and you must have the ability to lead and inspire the team

You will work 12 hour shifts and there are both full-time and part-time positions available (rotating days and waking nights).

Skills and Experience

You will need to be an excellent communicator,. Experience of working in physical rehabilitation is desirable.

To apply for the role you must be a Registered Nurse with 12 months post-registration experience and we can accept applications from RGNs, RMNs and RNLDs with relevant experience.

The rate of pay is £18.54ph which equates to £40,491 per annum on a full-time basis.
