The Company
Our client is an independent social care provider with an excellent reputation for providing high quality and tailored packages of care for young people in the 12 – 17 age range and they are currently recruiting for Residential Support Workers for their newly-opening 6 bedded CSE (child sexual exploitation) home for females in Saxmundham, Suffolk.
The Role
Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference within a child’s life, helping them to overcome any difficulties or disadvantages they may face – allowing them to strengthen their future. You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support. They may also require your guidance within education, training and employment.
The hours are to be worked on a shift basis to meet the needs of the business and require flexibility to include some evenings and weekends, on a rota basis including overnight duties.
This children’s home will require an all-female staff team due to the home being an all-female CSE (child sexual exploitation) provision.
Experience and Skills
Candidates must have previous experience as a Support Worker in a care setting, whether with adults or children.
It would be advantageous, but not essential, for candidates to have a Level 3 (or equivalent) Diploma in Children and Young People or an equivalent relevant qualification.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Salary
The OTE salaries for the roles are £20,500 - £22,900 (inclusive of sleep-ins) depending on experience.
