Prestigious City based International Law firm city seek a Cashier/Expenses assistant.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Cashiering/Expense Assistant will provide support to the London Cashiering and Accounts Payable team as required.
An ideal candidate will be flexible and proactive and display qualities of reliability, commitment, and punctuality. A keen eye for detail and the eagerness to learn are imperative. Experience with Solicitors Accounts Rules is necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary).
Office Accounts
Processing office receipts for all International Offices (London, Munich, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai), including banking of the receipts
Produce the daily cash balances spreadsheet
Enter the daily exchange rates rates from Thomson Reuters

Client Accounts
Daily posting of client receipts for all International offices
Client transaction posting to financial system
Balancing client accounts on a weekly basis
Maintenance of client spreadsheet
Handling of client account transactions

Accounts Payable/Expenses
Process UK weekly expenses/BACS run (electronic processing of financial transactions)
Expense report auditing, review and processing approval
Personal Accounts Processing
Posting personal account balances
Posting journals to move costs in/out of personal balances

General
Research and answer general accounting queries
Filing and archiving
Ad-Hoc projects

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Work Experience, Skills
Candidates are required to have a minimum of 1-2 years accounts experience, preferably in a law firm.
