Outline of role
Responsible for the processing of all bills and credit notes, and covering other members of the team when required.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years working in a legal cashiering position
Previous knowledge and skills gained in the legal sector- experience of billing and familiarity with accounts procedures
Knowledge of SARs
IT literate in MS Office, and legal PMS software
Experience of Aderant would be an advantage but training will be given
Has a keen interest to develop knowledge and broaden their skill base to contribute to the business
Day to day duties
•Checking and processing the Firms billing including consolidated billing of large clients
•Checking and processing all credit notes
•Processing time and disbursement write offs
•Transfer of WIP between files
•Splitting time and disbursements when required
•LAA Billing and File Closing
•Reconciling and posting Professional fees
•Paying professional fees within SAR’s
•Purchase Ledger entry and payments
•Client and Office Receipts
•Transfers between Client and Office
•General client account postings
•Firms credit card postings
•Expenses posting and payment run
•Office and Client Cheques
•Other ad-hoc cashiering duties
