Admissions/ Enrolment Officer
Reports to:Academic Registrar (Line Manager)
Admission and Enrolment Supervisor (Daily)
The Admissions and Enrolment Officer is a member of the Academic Registry team, and this post is responsible for the administration of the recruitment, admissions and enrolment of new students. The role also involves supporting the Admissions and Enrolment Supervisor with all aspects of the admissions process.
Outline of duties and responsibilities
Be responsible for the preparation of, and attendance at, open days and other recruitment events.
To be responsible for the recruitment, admission and enrolment of all students including 'Junior Year Abroad' Students using the SITS student record system.
Production of information for incoming students.
Dealing with applications and allocation of student accommodation.
Deal with general course and application enquiries, principally by email but also by telephone, fax, or letter if required.
Make all necessary arrangements for enrolment.
Deal with the registration of in-coming students at enrolment.
To be responsible for the day to day administration of scholarships funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council Block Grant Scheme.
To act as secretary to the Scholarships Committee.
To assist the Scholarship Committee and its Chair, the Dean and Deputy Director, in the provision of academic rankings for all applicants.
To undertake three shifts each week in the Student Services Centre.
To liaise with other members of the administration team and academic staff as appropriate.
To respect confidentiality and carry out all the responsibilities of the position in a professional manner and with due regard to the importance of the site in compliance with all of its policies, but especially Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety.
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities when requested, which are commensurate with this role.
