If you sent your CV to a recruitment agency and you are invited to attend an interview the next step is registration.
The registration process is one of the most important times for YOU, as it is the time we assess your skills and we find out more about you and what you want. If you are not sure we can offer guidance and discuss various opportunities relevant for the next step of your career.
Just as importantly this is a time to start to develop a working relationship with your Consultant, recruitment is and always will be a 2 way process between agency and candidate so it is important to establish lines of communication so you do not miss any good opportunities – especially as the good jobs always go quickly.
What to bring to an interview
- Passport
- Certificates relating to qualifications
Meeting us
- It is a legal requirement for recruitment agencies now to take copies of your passport and any Visa details (if applicable)
- If you have not had an on-line test you may be skill tested, i.e.;
a. Typing Speed, Key depressions
b. Excel test
If you are pushed for time we can send you an on-line version to do at home
- You will then be interviewed by your Consultant
- We try to make the interview quite informal and discuss all areas on your CV
- After the interview we will assess your skills and discuss what your career aspirations are and career opportunities with you.
- As our consultants are highly trained and skilled in their area of work they can also advise on Salary Expectation and the best possible path to achieve your future goals in a realistic manner.
- We will also ensure that your CV is updated and re-formatted into a document that highlights your skills and represents you in the best way possible to our Clients.
How often to contact us
- Your Consultant will advise you on how often to keep in contact - although at least every 3-4 weeks is adviseable
When we find a suitable role
It is the policy of Adept to always tell you everything from salary to the culture of the organisation BEFORE we send your CV to any prospective roles
-
This ensures you have control where your CV is going – We have worked on vacancies where candidates do not ask where there CV is going and the client has received in excess of 20 times! As you can imagine this is not good for you and in some cases an interview may not be arranged. That is why is important to be selective with the number of agencies you register with or send your CV to.
-
If a client wants to arrange an interview having seen your CV, we will handle all the communication to arrange dates and times convenient to both parties.
-
We will help you prepare for your interview.
