Are you IR35 compliant?

Due to the Governments legislation, IR35, regarding anti-tax avoidance we recommend that any Temp wishing to work through a Limited Company should seek independent, professional advice regarding the set-up and operation of such a company.

Do I get any benefits?

As a Temp working through a Limited Company you will NOT be entitled to any benefits through Adept Recruitment including; Holiday Pay, SSP, SMP, SPP and you cannot benefit from the Reward scheme offered to Adept Recruitment Temps.
 

Adept’s Requirements

If you intend to work through a Limited Company there are a number of requirements Adept that will need to be satisfied BEFORE commencement of an assignment;

  • A countersigned Terms of Assignment of Consultants via a Limited
    Company Contractor (HSR20)
  • The Limited Company MUST be registered in the UK
  • A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation
  • A copy of the VAT registration certificate (if applicable) 
  • Proof that you are a Director of the company, by means of a current appointments
    report from Companies House
  • The Bank Account must be based in the UK and in the name of the 
    Limited Company. We will not pay accounts based overseas. 


Invoicing and Payment

Please note if any of the information below is not provided your payment will be delayed until it is rectified.

We require a weekly invoice from the Limited Company which must be submitted with an Adept Recruitment weekly signed Timesheet.

If you are not VAT registered there are no legal requirements to provide certain information on invoices i.e. Invoices numbers. However if you wish to work via Adept Recruitment Ltd our payment procedures requires the following;

  • A weekly Invoice with a matching Timesheet attached
  • An Invoice Number
  • Date the Invoice was generated
  • Name and address of supplier (i.e. Limited Company)
  • Name of Client where you have been working
  • Week Commencement date of week worked
  • Total hours and rates (to include any overtime rates)
  • The hours must match the signed Timesheet submitted
    and rates agreed with the assignment via Adept
  • The total amount due to be paid 


VAT Registered?

The total amount due must be broken down as follows                   

  • The Net amount
  • The VAT amount & rate applied (i.e. 17.5%)
  • The Total amount = Net + VAT
  • The VAT registration number must be on the invoices
